Good News! This weekend we welcome Deacon Greg Feary to our St. Andrew family! Deacon Greg is going to be serving here as a permanent deacon. He will be proclaiming the Gospel and preaching every three weeks or so. He will be the deacon at some of our funerals, weddings, and baptisms. I will continue as deacon and pastoral administrator. Fr. Jim is still our Sacramental Minister and Moderator. Frs. Butch and Paul will continue as in the past.
Many of you may remember Deacon Greg from two years ago when he was here to provide us with an excellent Advent presentation focused on Mother Mary. So, he will also be providing us with opportunities like this to grow in our understanding of our faith.
Deacon Greg retired recently from St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute after 35 years of teaching. He was involved with Formation of permanent deacons in various capacities for twelve years. Deacon Greg studied Theology at Christ the King Seminary and is an Adjunct Professor at Canisius College. He and his wife JoAnn live in Depew. JoAnn manages the Controller's Office at Canisius College.
Deacon Greg and JoAnn have dedicated their lives to serving others. We are pleased to have them here at St. Andrew, serving along with all of us as together we bring Christ to others through word and action.
